OVERVIEW
In my first year as Course Leader of the BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design at NTU, I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to offer an overview of the Course and the Graduates of 2015.
Central to studying Interior Architecture & Design at NTU is the design studio where ideas are explored, concepts realized and skills developed. The creative environment of studio is reinforced by practical experience, by offering a year out work placement.
On return to Nottingham Trent University, the students have harnessed all of the experiences and knowledge gained from placement and within their final year projects they have explored a subject of interest in depth, both in terms of research and visual communication through a series of progressively detailed design documents.
The final major projects clearly demonstrate their emerging personal design ethos through generating often complex responses to contemporary design challenges with the guidance of an inspiring design tutor team from RCA, AA, Design studios and Practice. Our Graduates have also successfully entered national competitions, winning Retail Design Expo 2015 at Olympia London.
Our Graduates look forward to inspiring and dynamic careers within Architecture, Interior Architecture, Design, Property, Retail and Branding. As a year group they will be missed, their focus and drive throughout their final year has been immense and we hope that the relationships we have forged will continue to grow.
