There is a huge disconnect between the manufacturing processes and our consumption of food in the 21st Century.

 

In the Victorian masterpiece that is the Smithfield Meat Market in Clerkenwell, London, lies the derelict and forgotten Old Fish Market. Transforming and repurposing this space into a wellness centre, encouraging its customers to engage with the history and the future of food production & consumption, an architectural design language connects each of the functional, leisure and retail spaces.
