Placement: BDG Architecture and Design - 12 Months

My final project is based on the redevelopment of Eastbourne Pier after the arcade was destroyed by a fire in July 2014. The theme of promenading, so prevalent in the Victorian era when the original pier was built, has been a strong influence in developing the numerous walkways that travel around and through the burn out steelwork. Which houses a performing arts studio and auditorium for local and visiting groups, in addition to a bar and restaurant facilities. Viewpoints and decks are created connecting the building to both the sea and the beach/town.
