A space designed to return to use the Regents Canal in Mile End, London

This project investigates and devises a means to reinstate the canal’s original use as a transport mechanism supporting the import trade in London. Imported coffee will travel up the canal from Limehouse Docks to site and then transferred via crane into the top floor of building where the roasting process will take place. Visitors are able to view and experience how the coffee is created, from milling through to packaging. There is also an intimate cinematic experience.
